Our 2nd Annual Bass & Brew was even better than the first! Attendees gathered at the charming Weldon Mills Theatre in Roanoke Rapids, NC for a night of meaningful connections, important conversations, and locally catered BBQ from Ralph’s.
Executive Director Chad Thomas provided a quick presentation on the restoration efforts that have stocked more than 5 million striped bass in the Roanoke River and Albemarle Sound since 2023. He also touched on the genetic evaluation that determines the success of these stockings and plans to repeat these strategies throughout 2025.
A special thank you to Lori Medlin of Halifax County Convention & Visitors Bureau and Carl Hatcher of Northeast Action Wildlife Club for presenting generous donations to the Foundation on behalf of their organizations. Both groups are proud supporters of our efforts to enhance North Carolina fisheries, especially their beloved striped bass.
